(3) Easy solutions for your sleep problems

You are watching a video. The hero and the heroine are in an embrace. The camera

pans to show the enticing bed with nicely done up sheets, half folded blankets

(in which they are shown tucked in). The soft lights give a super-romantic effect.

Don’t you ever wish you could be in their place, if for nothing else, then to sleep like a baby

on that fluffy, well-done up bed?

A contrast

What happens daily on your bed? After a pretty hard day, you long to just hit the hay and

don’t mind even the crumpled bed sheet. You switch off the lights, dash in the bed and, just

then, suddenly, something pierces your back. You switch on the lights in horror to find a comb

or a hair-pin smiling at you.

Before you go to bed

Pray- You can say a short prayer sitting on your bed. Thank HIM for the day and pray for

your and family’s well-being.

Leave your worries outside- Most important! Leave your worries, problems, anger, negativity

outside your bedroom before entering there.

Work hard- If you spend your day working hard, sleep is bound to follow you in your bedroom.

However, if you were already lying the whole day, it will take time to enter there.

Shower- A quick shower before the bath refreshes you and takes out your fatigue magically.

Use a light perfume.

Nightwear- You may be very much tired but change into comfortable, neat and clean

nightwear. It will not take time for you to get into the slumber.

Proper postures- Postures of sleep matter a lot. If you lie down in an with a hand hanging out

or body crouched in an uneasy manner, you are bound to wake up shortly with aches.

Ambiance

The entire ambience adds to your comfort or spoils it completely.

Soft lights-Soft lights set the proper mood and save you from falling down if and when you get

up during the night.

Light colours on the walls- Imagine sleeping in a room painted with garish purple or shocking

pink colour. Compare it with a soft shades of cream, pink, blue, green or even plain white

colour.

Comfortable air conditioning- The room temperature plays a very important role in good sleep.

Too cold or hot temperature will keep you awake-shivering or sweating the whole night.

Nice thick curtains: You are about to sleep when you can notice somebody’s annoying

presence outside.Thick curtains can prevent that.

Soft music- A soothing piece of soft instrumental music or vocal music, as per taste, works

as a lullaby.

Carpet- It does not feel good to walk on the bare floor before getting into the bed. A nicely

designed comfortable small carpet around the bed works wonders in decoration of the room.

Now, towards your dream bed

You can also make your own bed equally or even more enticing, as in this picture. Let’s see

how.  Well, take care and follow just a few steps. You can also convert your bed into a dreamy

one.

Sturdy bed- Make sure that your bed is still sturdy. It should not shriek and disturb you, just as

you turn your side in sleep.

Comfortable mattresses- Mattresses are like the muscles of your body. A little cramp here or

a boil there is enough to take away your sleep. Likewise, the mattresses should be in perfect

health.

Clean bed linen- Clean bed linen neatly spread is akin to the skin of your body. Clean skin

does not itch or look crumpled and dirty. It may need a little exercise to change it or spread it

properly and neatly tuck its corners under the mattress. (The moment you do it, the irritating

comb or the hairpin will automatically fall down from the bed).

Cosy blankets- Fluffy blankets, neatly folded and ready to be used for you to tuck in, are the

perfect answer to your sleeping woes.

Comfortable pillows- Pillows should be there to give you a perfect head rest. The comfortably

placed head calls the sleep immediately. More than one soft pillow is always nice to have.

Skirting around the bed- Bed skirting hides that ugly suitcase or some toy teasing you from

under the bed to set your mood off.

 Takeaway

Avoid taking medicines to cure insomnia.

The mental conditions, tiredness after a day’s hard work, comfortable bed and good ambiance

are all very important for catching two winks.

Oh! You have already begun to yawn!
